Weekend Web Round-up: February 28th Edition

Happy Friday! In keeping with the spirit of inspiration, here are some especially interesting links that have rocketed my Spring style-planning into overdrive.

1. Who What Wear's "The Appeal of the French Fashion Editor". It's Paris Fashion Week, so why not draw a little inspiration from les femmes élégantes? I love nothing more than minimalistic style that truly epitomizes effortless chic.

2. Neiman Marcus launched their new iOS mobile application, which combines their blog and Instagram account into an interactive shopping experience. Now if only Canadian retailers could start ramping up their tech game...

3. After much anticipation, the SJP shoe collection by Sarah Jessica Parker launched exclusively at Nordstrom today.  Prices range from around $227 - $495 CAD. I'm personally coveting the "Fawn" style, a classic suede pump in perfect-for-Spring teal. I also love the subtle grosgrain detail on the heel of each shoe, said to be Sarah's nod to the ribbons she wore in her hair as a child.

Have a lovely weekend!

Wish List: Manolo Blahnik BB Suede Pump

Over the past year, many of my posts featured the surprising versatility of the single-soled cobalt blue pump (here, here and here). My current pair is a fast-fashion version from Zara. And while this trusty go-to statement accessory in my wardrobe has served me well, sometimes there's nothing quite like the real thing.

These blue suede BB pumps by Manolo Blahnik are downright breathtaking. The perfect 4-inch heel complemented by the just short-enough toe box makes this the quintessential ladylike heel that can easily replace the basic black pump for Spring.

Wish List: Alex and Ani stacked bracelets

Happy Thursday! As you know, I'm a huge fan of stacked bracelets. There's nothing quite as satisfying as the substantial weight and subtle jingle of a wrist accessorized with hardware. However, for someone with very petite wrists like myself, sometimes finding the perfect bangles can be very challenging.

For this reason, I was thrilled to learn about Alex and Ani - their wrap bangles are fully adjustable, meaning they can be customized to fit anyone.  Even better is that each piece is hand-crafted with a unique meaning and symbolism meant to bring positive energy to the wearer. They are also made in the USA using sustainable and eco-friendly processes.

I personally am coveting the "Love" and "Plume Feather" wrap bracelets.

With Valentine's Day on Friday, maybe it's time to drop a not-so-subtle hint to your procrastinating honey?

Alex and Ani is available at The Bay and other retailers across Canada.

Starts with Inspiration: What to Own Before You Turn 30 by Harper's Bazaar

I'll admit, I'm a sucker for "must-have" lists. This one by Harper's Bazaar is my favourite yet. It's simple, reasonably aspirational, and makes complete sense to me given my current stage in life. Next up? Finding up signature fragrance.
