Starts with a nautical striped dress...

This nautical-inspired striped has become a staple lately. In a perfectly relaxed fit without being too baggy, it's an ideal choice for casual Fridays and weekend brunches alike.

For this casual Friday outfit, I paired it with a statement necklace with neon details. It provided some "pop" to the dress, and also helped break up the horizontal lines to provide more dimension. Subtle gold accessories and shoes helped complete the look. All that's missing now is a sailboat!

Starts with a neon scarf...

Happy Monday! What a glorious weekend it was. The weather was gorgeous and I got to spend quality time with my hubby as well as my family for Father's Day. It was definitely a neon type of weekend.

This neon scarf was a bit of an impulse purchase. While I have many scarves in my collection, I have few that are in a true pop-out colour. At the risk of too much neon (is there ever such thing as too much of a good thing?) I paired with with a similar, albeit subtler, hue.

Starts with a chambray shirt...

Happy Wednesday! Perhaps this post is more appropriately titled, "chambray-inspired". I've been on the hunt for a chambray shirt for the summer for a few months. However, each one I found seemed too heavy for the humid months we always get in Toronto. This linen version with the chambray colouring is the perfect compromise.

While taking these pictures, my hubby was suddenly overcome by a creative spark to photograph my snake-print shoes - pretty neat, right? His inspiration? A snake in the grass of course!
