Wish List: Saint Laurent Sac De Jour

I've tried my best to resist the siren song of the Sac De Jour, but more and more I find myself obsessively scouring the web looking for pictures of it and am inexplicably drawn to it each time I'm at Holt Renfrew. This tote in classic black would make the perfect addition to my wardrobe. A subtle statement piece that I could see myself reach for season over season.

Simply chic and classically minimalistic. There's really no other way to describe this great version of the LWD (aka little white dress) for the summer.

They say that love sometimes makes people do crazy things. I'm considering throwing myself a party just to have a reason to purchase and wear this gorgeous creation. Pictures don't do the detailing and texture justice, it really is that amazing in real life.

Wish List: Alex and Ani stacked bracelets

Happy Thursday! As you know, I'm a huge fan of stacked bracelets. There's nothing quite as satisfying as the substantial weight and subtle jingle of a wrist accessorized with hardware. However, for someone with very petite wrists like myself, sometimes finding the perfect bangles can be very challenging. 

For this reason, I was thrilled to learn about Alex and Ani - their wrap bangles are fully adjustable, meaning they can be customized to fit anyone.  Even better is that each piece is hand-crafted with a unique meaning and symbolism meant to bring positive energy to the wearer. Wishlist: J.Crew Downtown Field Jacket

It's official - the parkas and wool coats are being put away until next Winter. And perfect timing too since this military-inspired field jacket is calling my name. The length and colour make this a Spring weekend staple, and much more versatile than last summer's denim jacket (personally, I am not a fan of the denim suit). 

I'm already imagining it paired with black cropped skinny pants, a white tee, and a bright statement bag...

Wishlist: Balenciaga Giant 12 rose gold City

Since its début in 2001, the Balenciaga Motorcycle bag has officially transitioned from "it" bag to cult classic. Over the years, my obsession over this bag has helped me acquire the ability to identify each model, colour, and leather by season, but surprisingly never an actual bag to materialize in my collection. With Alexander Wang recently joining Balenciaga in Nicolas Ghesquiere's departure, one of the first changes is the announcement that the rose-gold hardware will soon be discontinued. The sentimentalist in me is thinking, maybe this is a sign to finally take the plunge?

Wishlist: Etre Guernsey sweater

I'm a fan of nautical stripes (as evidenced here and here), but the damp chill of a Toronto winter means that filmy t-shirts and tanks are no longer viable wardrobe choices. When Dan from Etre contacted me a few weeks ago and introduced the 2012 Autumn/Winter collection I was immediately drawn to this sweater. Hand-crafted in the British Isles from worsted wool, this sweater is the perfect way to keep warm. The best part is that this sweater is unisex, which is perfect for those who gift-shop like me: "one for me, and one for you".

I've never been shy about my love of statement necklaces, and now is not the time for whispered adoration. This crystal and jewelled beauty is the perfect accent piece for Fall burgundies and navies and the perfect amount of glam juxtaposed with edgy leather. As my mother always told me, "If you can't wear a nice statement necklace, don't wear anything at all". (Or something like that, right?)

Pure. Perfection.

I've been searching for a statement ring, and this stacking ring set by Bottega Veneta is just plain bliss. Sterling silver in Bottega Veneta's signature intrecciato weave, this set can be worn separately for a more delicate look or together for the ultimate conversation starter. Add to this the fact that the rings are different widths, and what does this mean? Tons and tons of possible combinations! How's that for an all-in-one investment?

Wishlist: Jacob's 35th Anniversary Collection

To be honest, I haven't shopped at Jacob for a few years now. However, with the launch of their 35th Anniversary collection this Fall, I may be whistling a different tune. According to Flare, the designs are a homage to the 1960's - the era of Andy Warhol and Twiggy. 

I'm especially drawn to the ivory sweater with lace sleeve detailing and the chic half-lace tee, perfect for the office-to-drinks transition.

Though it may be too early to start celebrating this milestone birthday, it's not too early to start planning my wish list, right?
